Santiago is a Research Analyst at the Energy & Environment Lab, where he works on projects to improve the effectiveness of environmental policies in the US using statistical and computational methods. Prior to joining the Lab, Santiago worked as a data scientist at C40 Cities, a non-profit organization advancing climate action in cities worldwide.

Santiago holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Economics from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. There, he worked as a research assistant on projects related to social networks and environmental policies in Colombia. In his free time, Santiago likes playing tennis, hiking, and exploring the city on his bike.
